How do I copy content from another Canvas course using the Course Import tool?
This is a new way to copy your course from year to year. It works very quickly. Give it a try. If you have any problems, you might want to try the other options at the bottom.
- Go to the course where you want to move you content. (current year course)
- Click on settings in the left menu
- Click on Import Course Content in the left menu. (remember that the left menu sometimes moves down to the bottom of the page)
- Select Copy a Canvas Course from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Include Completed Courses. Use the Select a Course drop-down to find last year’s course.
- Select All Content and click Import
- You will see the course copy and it will say complete when done.
- If you see any errors, click on show to view what did not copy correctly.
