GRES Assistant Principal

Hello GRES Friends and Families,

I am extremely privileged to introduce myself to you as the new assistant principal of GRES. I am so excited to be able to serve you in this new role.

I have been working here in Glen Rose ISD for the past five years as a classroom teacher, and before that I was working for Fort Worth ISD. I grew up in the small town of Gordon, TX where I graduated high school and then joined the Navy. I served in the Navy for four years overseas working in Navigation. When I returned to Texas, I attended Tarleton State University where I received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. I also obtained my certification as a reading specialist from Tarleton.

My family and I live here in Glen Rose and absolutely love the small-town community. My husband Zack and I have been married for seventeen years this fall and have three beautiful children. Zack works in Federal Security in Fort Worth. All my children attend Glen Rose ISD schools and are very proud to be Tigers! Our daughter will be a freshman this year, Houston our oldest son will be going into 6th grade and our youngest son Hamilton will be going into 3rd grade. We are very excited to begin the new school year with all of you! Our family loves sports and the outdoors and spending time together. In my free time, I love reading, planting flowers and playing with our two labs Bella and Bevo.

I believe education is an extreme privilege and complete work of the heart, it’s an opportunity to love, serve, and lead my community, my country, and the most precious commodity in the world: the children of our future. I am committed to working with all of you to ensure that our students have a strong foundation in order to find success and exceed the highest expectations of being a Glen Rose Tiger.

I look forward our second semester!

It’s Always a Great Day to be a Tiger!
