GRES Principal’s Corner

Greetings GRES Families,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction as the newly appointed principal of Glen Rose Elementary! I am honored to serve you all in this new role.

I just completed my 25th year in education where I have served as a classroom teacher, reading specialist and for the past fourteen years as assistant principal in GRISD. I grew up in Arlington, Texas. I attended the University North Texas where I earned my degree in Education, went on to obtain a Masters in Reading followed by a specialist degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington.

I have lived in Nemo, just outside of Glen Rose for 16 years with my wonderful husband and beautiful daughter. My husband’s name is Sam and he is a welder. Ellie has been blessed to be a Glen Rose Tiger since kindergarten and will now be entering 6th grade. They grow fast! We enjoy family time, all things outdoors from hunting to building barns. In my past time I find joy in reading, yoga and growing as an educator.

I wholeheartedly believe that ALL children can learn at high levels, and it is my goal to ensure our children continue to receive a quality education in an environment that is safe and nurturing every day. I am committed to working in partnership with our families, staff and community to support our children in reaching their maximum potential. I promise to love, serve and lead your child as if they are my very own.

I look forward to Meet the Teacher on August 15 from 1:00-6:00pm and mostly our 1st day of school, August 17! Our 2022-2023 school theme is “It’s all Fun and Games @GRES ~ Make your Move”. Join me as we learn and grow together with our amazing students, dedicated staff and supportive community!

With Tiger Pride,

Teri Teaff
