COVID-19 Closure Update graphic

On Friday, April 17, 2020, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that all Texas schools would be closed for face-to-face instruction for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. Glen Rose ISD will continue to provide remote instruction through May 21, 2020. Summer School will also be conducted through remote instruction.

Glen Rose ISD will announce a modified grading policy for the 5th and 6th Six Weeks for students in grades PK-8, during the week of April 20-24. Students in grades 9-12 or students taking courses for High School credit in 8th grade will continue to follow the regular policy for class rank and GPA purposes.

The Texas Education Agency is expected to provide guidance on graduation ceremonies next week. Once the options are known, Glen Rose ISD will poll seniors to get their input on graduation ceremony options.

The Glen Rose Elementary PK-K Roundup for students entering PK and K in the 2020-2021 school year will be online May 4-8. Please check the Glen Rose ISD website during this time for a link to the registration process.

Glen Rose ISD is currently awaiting an announcement from the UIL regarding extra-curricular competitions for the remainder of the school year.

Thank you for your patience, support, and efforts during the COVID-19 closure process.  Together, we will get through this challenging time.
