Recording a lesson using quickTime Recorder and Panopto
Search for QuickTime Player and click on the player to begin.
Right/Secondary click on quickTime player in the bottom dock to bring up the menu.
Click on New Screen Recording. Set the Mic and click the red dot to begin.
Right/Secondary click on quickTime player in the bottom dock to bring up the menu.
Click on Stop Screen Recording to bring up the video you recorded.
Click on File at the top and go to save.
Change the save location and name as needed.
Always go to the Panopto website through Canvas. That way it will auto log you in on Panopto according to the Canvas course you are in. It will also open the correct folder for the Canvas course you enter Panopto website from.
Login to Canvas an open a course.
If you have turned Panopto Recordings on inside settings, click on Panopto Recordings menu item.
Click on the small arrow to open the Panopto website.
Click on Create / Upload Media
Click to choose video. Once the video is uploaded you can click the x to close the upload video. It may take a while to appear in the Panopto Video list but it will process and then show.
Students may go to the video using the Panopto Video menu. You may also add the video to a page using the More External Tools option. You then can add the page to a module.
The video may also be added to the module using a link.
