Twenty-three students from the Glen Rose HS Varsity Choir “The Voice of Glen Rose” attended the UIL Region 30 Solo & Ensemble contest this past Saturday at Aledo HS. Students learned a classical solo, and two groups competed in the madrigal and Tenor Bass small ensemble division. They performed in front of a Judge for a rating on their performance. Eighteen students earned the top rating of superior along with both Ensembles, and five students earned an Excellent rating. Both ensembles and seventeen students advance to the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest in Austin Memorial Day Weekend. Come and hear these wonderful singers perform in Concert on March 19th as they prepare for UIL Concert and Sight-reading Contest.
