Today 3rd grade will be 12:55-1:30, 4th grade 1:45-2:30, and 5th grade will be 2:35-3:20. This will be the same schedule for Wednesday, 3/5/25. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience!
Parent Volunteers Needed for Roller Skating in PE Class at Glen Rose Intermediate!
Coach Lytle is asking for parent volunteers to help out during PE next week as the students are learning to roller skate.
We need volunteers on Monday, February 24th and Tuesday, February 25th to assist during the following class times:
Fifth Grade: 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Fourth Grade: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Third Grade:
Group 1: 1:05 PM - 2:05 PM
Group 2: 2:15 PM - 3:15 PM
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated, especially as the kids get started with their roller skating lessons! All volunteers must have a background check on file with the school.

No one could ask for a better future Assistant Principal! Ms. Sofia Cacho did an excellent job today as AP for the day!!!
Ms. Cacho helped greet students this morning in her inflatable as well as bring some cheer greeting students in the halls. She sent staff an email, helped with our fire drill, observed some classrooms, passed out attendance awards, and helped with some notes going home to students.
What an awesome day! Thank you Ms. Cacho for your love, service and leadership to our intermediate campus!

The Intermediate UIL Contest has been rescheduled to Thursday, February 6th. All events will take place during the school day. Notes will be going home with participants today.
Due to the school closure, the Intermediate UIL event originally scheduled for Friday, January 31, will be rescheduled. Parents and students will be informed of the new date early next week.

Glen Rose administration has continued to monitor attendance for students and staff and after careful consideration we feel that closing our schools for 2 additional days (Jan. 30-31, 2025) would allow students and staff ample time to recover and heal. We will re-open on Monday Feb. 3, 2025.
Please understand we always strive to keep doors open to nurture, educate and tend to the students of Glen Rose ISD, but feel closing for these days will be beneficial to all. We understand the stress this can create for families and never make these decisions without careful consideration for our Tiger family.
While the campuses are closed, Germblast will be onsite treating all areas.
Information regarding the need to make up these days, if required, will be sent out as soon as possible.

We understand that our district currently has an influx of illness-related absences in our schools. Please rest assured that our custodial staff, teachers and support staff are working hard to clean and sanitize all areas throughout the day. Additionally, Germblast will be on campuses again to assist with disinfecting our schools.

GRISD is continually looking for ways to improve communication and it is our hope that this one platform will assist to fill that gap by placing everything you need for your student(s) in one place.
From the new GRISD app, toggle to Rooms in the bottom right corner. Then toggle to the phone icon in the top right corner. Enter your mobile phone number and touch send code. Enter the code you receive and click confirm. After agreeing to the terms, you should see your student’s teachers. If you do not get a code or see classes, we may need to link you to your student’s account. Please send an email to support@grisd.net for assistance. We will need the student's name and grade level as well as your name and cell phone number. After verification, we will be able to link your account which will allow you access.
