Failure to pay existing account balances may result in delayed device pick-up. ALL NEGATIVE BALANCES MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. MySchoolBucks payments will no longer be accepted after May 30th, 2025. Please be sure to disable any auto-pay settings to avoid any payments being processed during the summer break. GRISD Students and Staff are excited for the 4th Annual day of serving in the community tomorrow, May 9! The Big Event is an opportunity to LEAD projects where we SERVE and LOVE on those around us! GRISD Families, *Please be sure your students wear closed toe shoes and pants that are okay if they get a little dirty. Every student will be provided a free Big Event T-shirt to wear. *Students will be coming and going from their campuses the morning of May 9. We have a Pep Rally to kick-off the day, so be sure your students arrive to school on time! From the pep rally all students and staff will be completing projects throughout the community from 9:30-11:30am. They will return to campus for lunch and then celebrate the success of the day with a 1:00 Early Dismissal. If you need any further clarification, your student's teacher/campus may be of assistance. GRISD hopes you can take advantage of one of the 2 FREE Car Wash locations on May 9 and/or enjoy a delicious brunch for all Volunteers, Watch DOGS Dads, and Substitutes! (See attached fliers for specific times and locations) Thank you for allowing GRISD staff to model and teach students with real hands-on service opportunities! Somervell County is truly the best place to be!

🎉 Pajamas & Puzzles Day – April 30th! 🧩😴 Get ready for a cozy, brain-teasing day! On Wednesday, April 30th, come to school in your comfiest pajamas and get ready to relax and puzzle it out. We’ll spend the day solving fun puzzles, playing games, and enjoying some well-earned chill time together.

Reminder: The 5th grade instrument testing night will be today from 3:45-6PM at the GRIS music room. Come and try out all of the awesome band instruments! Many times, throughout the school year these wonderful people Love, Serve and Lead in GRISD! They often times become like staff! THANK YOU for your dedication and support all school year!

Just a quick reminder that instrument tryouts will be happening this Thursday, April 24th from 3:45 PM to 6:00 PM at the Glen Rose Intermediate School music room. This is a great opportunity for students to explore different instruments and find the one that’s just right for them. Hey, Tigers! We are sending this letter home with our 5th graders, but please take a look! The Head Band Director at Glen Rose Junior High School is preparing for the future 6th graders. Each student will have the opportunity to pick three instruments to try out, along with meeting with the band director. Barnard’s Mill Art Show 2025 This is an art show with works from the Glen Rose Elementary, Intermediate, Middle School, and High School. March 28 - April 13, Art will be on display to the public at the Barnard’s Mill. The location is Barnard’s Mill, 307 Southwest Barnard Street, Glen Rose, TX 76043-4600. Field Day Update! Field Day on Friday, March 6th is from 8:15 until your child's lunch time. There are no Field Day activities after lunch. Lunches are 3rd @ 11:45, 4th @ 12:15 and 5th @ 12:45 Parents are welcome to attend the morning activities!! If checking out your student, please do so through your student's homeroom teacher.
