As our students return to the road, we want to remind everyone of the law when approaching a school bus with flashing red lights and its stop sign extended.

Glen Rose ISD kicked off the 2026-2027 school year at Convocation as staff from across the district came together to prepare for the year ahead.
The day began with performances by our band, cheerleaders, and Dazzlers before staff participated in team-building activities throughout the district. Teams worked through obstacle courses, played games, created floral arrangements, coded robots with Amazon Think Big, enjoyed charcuterie cups from the new café, played bingo and cornhole, and worked together to create a team masterpiece.
The floral arrangements created during the day were donated to the residents of Glen Rose Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, allowing our staff to share kindness beyond our campuses.

GRISD phones are currently experiencing an outage. External phone lines are down. The carrier has been notified, and repair escalation have started.
Parents and Guardians may begin viewing student STAAR 3-8 & EOC results from the Spring 2026 testing administration June 16th. Please reach out to Teri Teaff 254-898-3902 if you have any questions.
While in Skyward go ahead and also complete the RETURNING Student Registration for the 2026-2027 school year! You will need to upload a current proof of residency. This MUST all be done before a student can be assigned a schedule/teacher(s) for the 2026-2027 school year.

GRISD administration has been monitoring the weather, and we feel it is necessary to cancel our Big Event Day of Service on May 1st. We will contact our community members who have requested service to possibly reschedule their projects.
GRISD will still host the volunteer and sub appreciation brunch at the High School on May 1st from 10:00-11:00am

Glen Rose ISD's cell phone/electronic device policy effective 8-13-25 per Texas House Bill 1481, passed during the 89th Legislative Session, requiring all public schools in Texas to adopt policies restricting student access to personal communication devices during the school day while on school property.
Tiger families, your focus next week, July 28-August 1 is to get your students registered online for the 2025-2026 school year at www.grisd.net. Click the Registration link at the top of the website then click on New or Returning student registration. Read the flier attached with more details of this week. All 4 campuses are ready to help if you need anything!
