Glen Rose ISD recently welcomed community and industry partners to its Community CTE Brunch, an event designed to showcase the district’s Career and Technical Education programs, celebrate student success, and strengthen partnerships between GRISD and the local community.
Guests had the opportunity to tour the district’s newly renovated CTE building while learning more about the wide range of CTE Programs of Study available to Glen Rose students. The event also highlighted the accomplishments of CTE students and the hands-on learning opportunities that prepare them for college, careers, and future success.
The brunch was prepared and served by GRISD Culinary students under the direction of Culinary Arts teacher Kailyn Culp. Students had the opportunity to put their classroom skills into practice while providing guests with an outstanding meal.
Another highlight of the event was the presentation of Perkins grant awards to several GRISD CTE teachers for equipment, instructional resources, and hands-on learning experiences within their CTE programs.
The Community CTE Brunch also provided an important opportunity for local business and community representatives to connect directly with CTE educators and learn how they can partner with GRISD programs.
GRISD is grateful to the community members who attended and continue to support Career and Technical Education. These partnerships connect classroom learning with real-world opportunities and give students experiences that prepare them for life beyond high school.
The event reflected GRISD’s continued commitment to providing students with meaningful learning experiences, strong community connections, and opportunities to develop the skills they need for their futures.
Love. Serve. Lead.
EVERY STRIPE MATTERS.
