IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THE GLEN ROSE COMMUNITY
This morning, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Glen Rose High School will be hosting the Shattered Dreams Program!
What is Shattered Dreams?
Shattered Dreams is a powerful, reality-based program designed to educate high school students about the tragic consequences of underage drinking, drinking and driving, and distracted driving.
The event includes a simulated car crash involving student participants, complete with emergency response by law enforcement, EMS, and hospital staff. It may also include mock fatalities, arrests, and even a staged funeral — all designed to bring home the real-life impact of dangerous decisions behind the wheel.
This is not meant to frighten, but to inform and protect our youth.
You may notice increased activity at the school, including emergency vehicles — again, this is a drill only and there is no actual emergency.
