Respondus LockDown Browser – iPad app for Eduphoria and Canvas

When you give a test in Eduphoria/Aware you can turn on a LockDown Browser to be used.  This will prevent students from going outside of the browser or quitting early from the test.  I don’t feel like this is very necessary at your level but wanted to make sure you knew that this was a setting which can be turned on.  It is the same LockDown Browser which Canvas can use.

For Eduphoria/Aware it is turned on:

Students then go to login to Eduphoria the same way they always have.  When they log on it will prompt them to open the Lockdown browser.  The LockDown Broswer will need to be installed first if you are going to use this option.

For Canvas it is turned on:

If you are giving a Classic Canvas Quiz, students open the LockDown Browser (which must be installed on iPad first) then login to Canvas.  When they go to the quiz it will lock down their iPad to only allow the quiz to be completed.  If you are giving a New Quiz, I could not make it work.  I think that they may be creating a new app for the New Quizzes option.
