Connect2Texas is a network of Texas-based educational content providers including museums, cultural, historical, and scientific organizations, and authors. These providers utilize interactive videoconferencing to connect to schools and deliver live educational programs and professional development to school children and educators around Texas and across the country. Bring the scientists, experts, and authors directly to your students without leaving the classroom!
These programs are very interactive and can be requested for a specific grade level and to be delivered on a specific time and/or date. The content providers want to work with your classroom. You can even sometimes request special content. Check out the Calendar of Programs. Remember that you can check all programs that a provider offer and then request the date and time best for your classroom.

The Region Eleven Telecommunications Network (RETN) is a network infrastructure of connected colleges, universities, K-12 school districts, and cultural entities in Region XI. Interactive videoconferencing connects schools throughout Region XI with other schools, cultural entities, the Texas Education Agency and other endpoints in Texas and across the country in a live, two-way video/two-way audio environment for a variety of purposes.

Be sure to register for all distance learning with Patti Flanary so that she can check to see that the room and equipment are available. Glen Rose Elementary and Glen Rose Intermediate both have a distance learning cart on their campus. Glen Rose Junior High and Glen Rose High School use the cart at the Technology Center in room 102. Many of the sessions can be recorded and viewed with stops/starts in your classroom as many times as needed to accommodate your teaching needs. Some sessions may also have a live view option using your classroom computer and projector via a live stream.
