Huston Myers- Glen Rose FFA Advisor, Ag Mech, Ag Fabrication
- Why did you enter the teaching profession? I entered the teaching profession for a multitude of reasons, the first one being: I love and enjoy working with the kids. Seeing their knowledge and skills grow is very rewarding for myself and all others around them. In addition to this, I feel that as an Agriscience Teacher, my own experiences in high school FFA and being immersed in agriculture during my raising can benefit the students, as well as the FFA Chapter, school district, and community.
- What is the number one thing you would like your students to learn The biggest and most important thing I want my students to understand is that respect goes a long way, with anyone and everyone. I was hired to teach agriculture content, but even more pertinent to collective education is teaching respect, people skills, and ways to contribute to society in a positive manner.
