Glen Rose Jr High Art Classes offer students a variety of ways to enhance their visual art skills. Al
l Art Classes are full year classes and explore a variety of mediums and visual art skills. Projects and activities include Styrofoam sculpture, prismacolor pencil drawings, plaster masks, clay whistles, watercolor, acrylic painting, computer art, museum trips, computer art,
photography, wheel thrown pottery, perspective drawing, charcoal drawings, plaster masks and sculpture, design and many more. Art classes are available for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.
Students may also take Sculpture Class which primarily explores three dimensional mediums.
Students who have
taken art in 7th grade may also take Art 2. This class is designed for more independent s
tudy and exploration of student’s own ideas and direction.
