Several of our Academic UIL Teams competed in an online virtual meet that ended on Friday, November 15th. There were a total of 6,886 scores submitted for this virtual meet. These five young men have been accepted to Boys State, June 9-14, at the University of Texas Austin. GRHS: Academic UIL Students Advance to State
Congratulations to Joel Mendoza and Trinidy McCoy for placing at the Regional Academic UIL Meet. Joel placed 2nd in Copy Editing and Trinidy placed 4th in Feature Writing. Both students will be traveling to the State Academic Meet in Austin on May 2-3.
GRHS: Region 30 UIL Concert and Sight-reading Contest
The Glen Rose High School 4A Varsity Choir competed in the Region 30 UIL Concert and Sight-reading Contest at Granbury HS on Thursday, April 4th. The Choir was awarded superior ratings for their stage performance and superior ratings for their sight-reading performance by a panel of judges. Their overall rating earned the status of sweepstakes. Congratulations GRHS Tiger Choir!
GRHS: Glen Rose 38th Annual Invitational Academic Meet
On February 22nd and 23rd, Glen Rose hosted it’s 38th Annual Invitational Academic Meet. Twenty-nine schools and 417 students traveled to Glen Rose between Friday evening and Saturday morning to take part in this annual tradition. GRHS Solo and Ensemble
Please congratulate the HS Tiger Choir on a successful Solo and Ensemble Contest. The Tiger Choir took nine soloist and one madrigal to Chisholm Trail HS in Saginaw, TX for the competition. On Wednesday, February 6th Glen Rose high school hosted the District CX Debate Meet. Nine district teams were in attendance to compete for their spot at advancing to the State CX Debate Meet.
