National School Lunch Program- Free and Reduced Information

In order to best serve our students we are encouraging all families to take the time to complete a Free and Reduced Meal Application. During the 2021-2022 school year all meals have been free for all students. However, the state is indicating that school districts will be returning to pre-pandemic National School Lunch Program policies and procedures for the 2022-2023 school year. Our goal to provide nutritional meals to all children remains the same. In order to achieve this, we will need your help in completing the Free and Reduced Meal Application. This application will be used to assist us in determining eligibility for free and reduced meal prices for the 2022-2023 school year as well as determining P-EBT benefit eligibility. We will need these applications returned no later than April 29th, 2022 for those intending to receive P-EBT benefits. Please note this application will also establish meal pricing for the beginning of the upcoming school year through the first 30 days, but we will need an updated application to be completed after July 1, 2022 in order for free and reduced pricing to continue throughout the rest of the school year.Applications are available at each campus office or in the GRISD Administration building. Please feel free to reach out to the Child Nutrition Department, Brittny Sanders at (254)898-3907 if you have any questions. We appreciate your cooperation and assistance with this matter.
