Glen Rose High School Robotics Team, Tigerbotics, had a very exciting weekend at FIRST in Texas District Waco Event held at Extraco Event Center. The team performed well and after the qualifying matches were selected by the 2nd place team to be on their alliance team. This resulted in Tigerbotics being able to compete all the way into the 4th round of semifinals. With the support of their generous sponsors, Gene Haas Foundation, Texas Workforce Commission, 7-11, and Glen Rose High School the team was able to purchase omni directional wheels to add to the robot. What a difference it made! The robot zipped around accomplishing tasks with speed and skill. It is a real joy to watch how these students worked together as a team. The team would love to improve their robot before next competition by purchasing and adding parts to lift the robot.
