Beginning on Monday, July 26, 2021, Glen Rose ISD (GRISD) will start handing out MacBooks to the 6th – 12th grade students. Please see the full schedule and location here:

Additionally, Glen Rose ISD will offer OPTIONAL MacBook insurance at a premium cost of $30, $20, $10 respectfully based on the National School Lunch Program Free and Reduced categories for grades 6th – 12th. The insurance will cover MacBook losses due to accidental damage, theft, fire, flood, natural disasters and vandalism. This fee will not be prorated if a child enrolls or withdraws during the school year. Each incident will require a $30 deductible for all damages and $20 for MacBook charger replacement.
Insurance Premium Schedule is based on the National School Lunch Program Free and Reduced categories
- Full Pay – $30 for first device, $10 for each additional sibling in the household who receive a device
- Reduced Pay – $20 for first device, $10 for each additional sibling in the household who receive a device
- Free Meals – $10 for first device, $5 for each additional sibling in the household who receive a device
The insurance program will cover all damages and help cover the cost of replacement chargers. Students/Families may choose to decline the insurance program; however, everyone who declines will be responsible for the full cost to replace or repair the lost or damaged item.
