Beginning Monday, July 13, Glen Rose High School student athletes will continue our summer strength and conditioning program. The high school boys will begin at 7:00 am and the girls will begin at 8:30 am. Our junior high strength and conditioning is still suspended until further notice. All Glen Rose ISD student-athletes and coaches will be required to wear face coverings during portions of summer conditioning and sports-specific drills.

The new requirement was issued Wednesday morning by the UIL and becomes effective for all Tigers returning for workouts on Monday. This is the link to the most up to date guidelines released by the UIL. https://www.uiltexas.org/athletics/covid-19-strength-conditioning-2020 With these new requirements, coaches will wear face coverings at all times and student athletes will be required to wear them upon arrival, while they are not actively exercising, and when they are leaving the facility. If a student-athlete does not have a mask, one will be provided for them before entering the facility.

Glen Rose coaches and student-athletes continue to follow strict safety guidelines with daily screenings of staff and social distancing procedures during workouts and sports-specific drills at GRISD. Facilities and equipment are regularly cleaned before, during, and after workouts. We ask parents/guardians to monitor your student for any possible symptoms that may be related to COVID-19.
