GRHS Named 2017 Best High School Bronze Medal

Glen Rose High School Earns National Recognition
for Second Consecutive Year

For the 2nd consecutive year, Glen Rose High School has been recognized as one of the top academic schools in the nation earning a bronze medal in the 2017 National Best Schools by U.S. News and World Report.

The U.S. News and World Report rank schools on college readiness, AP exams and proficiency in Mathematics and English.

“I am very proud of Glen Rose High School earning Nation’s Best Schools by U.S. News and World Report for the second consecutive year”, said Glen Rose ISD Superintendent Wayne Rotan.  “It reflects the dedication, commitment and effort by the students and staff of Glen Rose ISD.”  The U.S. News and World Report ranking methodology only included AP exams and did not account for the number of dual credit courses completed by GRHS students through Angelo State University.  Had the dual credit coursework been utilized in rankings, Glen Rose HS would have ranked even higher.  Glen Rose ISD sets expectations for all graduates to complete 20 college hours and/or complete a technical certification ready to enter the workforce upon graduation.

Congratulations to the students and staff of Glen Rose High School!  It’s a great day to be a Glen Rose Tiger.
